In 2025, I started Wright Jobs Contracting Ltd. My working life began as a tradie before I moved into the corporate world, where I spent over 20 years. About 12 years ago, my wife and I moved with our kids to a lifestyle property in Ardmore, Auckland - and that’s where my love for hands-on, outdoor work came back to life.
Weekends were spent fixing fences, building little bridges over creeks, digging drains, and tackling all sorts of property maintenance jobs. That was my happy place before heading back to the office on Monday. I also realised how hard it was to find someone who could take on the smaller jobs - the ones that still needed the right gear.
So when the opportunity came up in 2025, I took the leap and started Wright Jobs Contracting Ltd. I focus on the smaller, practical jobs that make a big difference - replacing fence posts, re-battening, clearing sections, levelling pads for sheds or patios, tidying driveways, and more.
I’ve got a small tipper truck, a 2-ton digger with a post rammer attachment, and plenty of fencing tools - but more importantly, I’ve got pride in doing the job right.
